January Focus

We know you ate too much this holiday season. We did too. Which is all the more reason to throw your waders on and go for a hike along a winter river!

Catching a steelhead in January isn’t an easy feat. The water flows are unstable, the weather can be downright crappy, the old stream thermometer reads 34, and backing the jet boat down icy boat ramps is really scary. With these challenges, however, comes great reward. Landing a big winter fish in the harshness of January may be the highest rung on the steelheader’s ladder. So get off your duff and get out there!
