"This was a day in late October on a jet boat trip up from the mouth on the Deschutes. Travis Duddles owner of the Gorge Fly Shop and Mike Duffy guide with Larimer Outfitters hosted Kevin and I for the day on the river.

Fly fishing the mouth of Deschutes River in late October proved to hold fresh fish eager to commit to a swung fly. The jet boat ride was as memorable of an experience as the steelhead themselves. The knowledge of the river, both in fishing and boating from guide Mike Duffy from Larimer Outfitters made for a very productive day.
